Social Investment means different things to different people, and in an organisation the size of the Foschini Group, contributing to the development of others takes many forms. The primary CSI intervention is obviously financial assistance, and this is obtained through various channels, including the Foschini Foundation, the Group HR budget, various recycling initiatives and an employee ‘Give As You Earn’ scheme.

A major and often overlooked CSI resource is time. Foschini encourages volunteerism and actively creates opportunities, e.g. The Habitat for Humanity “Big Build” for employees to give of their time to causes that are close to their hearts.
