The WESSA/WWF-SA Eco School Programme in its essence revolves around a school that has made a commitment to continuously improving its environmental performance through working towards environmental learning and better environmental management. This project demonstrates how a family simple and cost effective programme can strengthen community participation in schooling and unleash the potential for integrating knowledge across learning area in ways that promote learner activity.

The Zama Dance School aims to promote dance as a source of personal fulfilment and as a potential career by focussing on providing and outstanding academic foundation and basic training. It caters for 100 children from the ages of 5 – 18 years. Our funding goes towards the clothing, costuming and grooming of students for training, public performances and examinations. This is part of an integrated programme aimed as the ongoing development of township based dancers.
